i'm using mpg123 as mp3 player. it's actually a patched which also works with filenames with spaces, patch will be available soon. the keyboard is connected to a standard keyboard controller, with a custom wiring to fit my needs (for example, play sends 'p', stop 's' etc.). remote administration is possible through the serial port from any machine runnning a serial terminal (hp48 for example ;).
